Summary: This was a somewhat different type of cottage rental for our group in that there are 4 rentals on this property and 2 shared docks. Ours was an older home on a main road that has been completely renovated and updated. We had worried about privacy and noise. We were pleasantly surprised how the hustle and bustle was left behind when we shut the front door. The side deck was shielded by a fence and shrubs. The dock was right in front of us. Inside the living room had plenty of comfortable seating, the kichen was modern and stocked fairly well. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Squam Lake is a beautiful lake that is not overbuilt. We felt like we had stepped back in time at how much shoreline is protected. We rented a boat and the marina was conveniently just down the road. We also enjoyed sitting on the barge that is dockside and watching the boat traffic on the channel between Big and Little Squam. We enjoyed cruising and swimming on the lake in our own boat. Annie, our host answered every query we had in a timely manner and was very helpful in giving us ideas on where to swim. Overall we had a memorable vacation at this lovely property.
