Close to fishing/boating/swimming and features a great room and covered front and back porches, with plenty of room to unwind with friends or family. Make memories with s’mores around the fire, stargaze and watch the wildlife. Regulation size Pickleball court, pool table, professional disc golf basket, arcade games and Lake Monroe is just 4 minutes away and IU and downtown Bloomington are just 9 miles away with great restaurants and shops. This house on 6 acres is a nature lover’s dream. Bunnies, birds and deer abound! The expansive covered back porch provides ample space to hang out along with children’s swings, cornhole (beanbag) set and other backyard games, along with an outdoor dining table if you choose to enjoy a meal outside. We also have a fire pit and provide firewood so you can enjoy stargaze and enjoy a campfire during your stay. We have a regulation sized Pickleball court out front with paddles and a championship level disc golf golf basket with putting disks which you can use for putting and making up your own disc golf holes. This property has been licensed by Monroe county to legally operate as a short term rental. The great room provides a pool table, a Big Buck Hunter upright arcade game and a table top arcade game with 60 retro arcade games including PAC-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger, etc. We also have plenty of board games and a TV with YoutubeTV for live TV. The kitchen includes all of the pots, pans, tableware and silverware you will need. There is a hand mixer, toaster, tea kettle, blender and coffee maker. We have stocked coffee, tea, and various kitchen staples if you plan to cook your own meals, although we highly recommend you check out Bloomington’s renown local eateries. We have also created a special house manual in which we provide our personal recommendations for our favorite restaurants, local attractions, hiking areas, etc. Once you book your stay, we would be happy to share this with you if you request it. Four bedrooms give plenty of sleeping options and all bedding is provided. There is also a single rollaway bed in one of the bedrooms, a small futon couch in another and a full futon in another. We also provide a Pack ‘n Play. The primary bedroom has a separate entrance, a luxurious newly remodeled private bathroom with a freestanding tub and 9ft tile shower, its own sitting area, workspace and TV. ALL GUESTS AND VISITORS must be included on reservation, as there is an additional $25 charge per person beyond the first 8 in the home. All visitors, even those who just come for lunch, etc, will be charged as extra guests and must be included in reservation. While we do allow children, the house is not child-proofed. There are some breakable objects on lower shelves and the furniture and television are not secured to walls and could be a safety hazard, so please watch children carefully. Security cameras are located on the front porch facing the front door and the parking area. You will have access to the entire house except the garage area. We use the garage for personal storage and use a separate entrance to access this space when necessary. We live a few doors away and can be available to help, should you need anything at all. The entrance to Fairfax State Recreation Area at Lake Monroe is about 2 miles away from the building (entry fees apply). There is a restaurant and bar (Fairfax Inn) 2 miles away, there are also a golf course, 3 other restaurants and two other pubs about 3 miles away. IU campus and downtown Bloomington is just 9 miles away.
