Summary: I had a great stay at the Hickory House in Dayton's South Park neighborhood. This is a perfect rental for a couple, though I was solo this trip. It's an older home but fantastically restored inside with brand new kitchen and bathroom, so has elements of vintage charm with modern conveniences. Access was simple with keycode lock. No on-site parking but street parking right in front of house was pretty easy. Excellent location for those visiting their kids at Univ of Dayton. Walking distance to several fun spots.... for coffee try "Wholly Grounds" or "Gaslight Coffee". If you like beer, please visit "Branch and Bone" - it is great. South Park is one of those areas of Dayton that has been getting more popular over the last decade or so - there's still rehabbing going on in the neighborhood but I felt safe while I was there. I would absolutely stay here again.
