Summary: The view was good. The location was too far from the beach to hear the waves (also the sound of the buildings air conditioning unit drown out the sound). There is a quite a long walk to the beach and a large portion is in loose sand, not ideal for elderly or wagon usage. This unit is located directly over the pool and even though there are hours indicating pool hours we were still awakened by loud kids in the pool before 7 a.m. These were inconveniences, not deal breakers. The unit itself needed some deep cleaning.The bedroom carpet needs replacing, wouldn’t want to walk barefoot on it. The living room furniture was in desperate need of cleaning. The mattresses were worn but not terribly uncomfortable. When we stripped the beds before departure we saw that the pillows were stained. It was sufficient for our needs with 3 children for a short stay. It’s not a location or unit I’d choose for an adult only stay.The Dauphin Inn was very clean in the main areas of the building. We saw the groundskeeper working on the pool area early every morning. The elevators are quick and they have large carts for transporting items to the unit.
