Summary: I am truly baffled at how this hotel has an average rating of 8.2/Very Good. The pictures are definitely deceiving. Rather than looking retro, it looks rundown. Our linens were literally threadbare - holes in the blankets and sheets. The bathrooms have exposed wiring and missing drain grates, and the smoke detectors are half hanging off. Additionally, there’s major design flaws. The bed frames are metal, and if you accidentally hit them with your feet, they clang loudly. The showers are walk in, but the ledges aren’t tall enough and/or the curtains aren’t long enough, so every shower floods the bathroom. It’s a good thing we were only staying one night mid-road trip, because I don’t know that we could’ve put up with it otherwise.
