Summary: I chose this place a few weeks ahead of the stay for a short notice work trip that evolved into a family trip as well. I was hesitant to book since there were no reviews but messaged the host and received a prompt reply telling me they have a history on another hosting platform. I found the property there and confirmed there were were reviews. My first mistake was not reading the reviews carefully. Second mistake was booking with VRBO (will never do it again). PROS: - Good location - Quiet and easily walkable neighborhood for a stroll - Comfortable beds CONS: - Everything else - This house is in a state of disrepair and has clearly been neglected. Worst examples include: leaking ceiling into bathroom, leaking sink in bathroom, back door did not lock, dead mouse. - The house has not been deep cleaned in a LONG time - I exchanged over 60 messages with the host during our stay and spent significant time managing the disrepair of the house. Do you want this on your vacation? Overall, I was not at all satisfied with the host nor the property. They replied most of the time but provided no real support or solutions. It is clear they see this property as a cash cow and not one to be invested in to provide guests with a positive experience. I hate that I spent thousands to stay here and did not receive what I felt like was a value from the money spent. To top it off, VRBO was no help at all. They opened a case for me after I sent photo evidence of everything then promptly closed.
